I completed Basic B Conversational Bahasa Indonesia from Sep to Dec 2025 through 1-to-1 tuition with teacher, Lia.

Lia is an expert educator, with the course being covered comprehensively, but each class being fun and flowing naturally.

The classes were also flexible in time and day to work around business and family commitments.

Pak Tris is a very patient and caring teacher who diligently keeps track of the progress of all his students and ensures that everyone is learning well.

I have done Basic A and Basic B with Lia and have learned so much under her guidance. During each class, Lia goes through a lot of content but still manages to make it enjoyable by incorporating various activities such as kahoot quizzes. Lia also listens to our preferences and requests, and actively use tools such as song listening and YouTube videos to expose us to Bahasa Indonesian through different mediums. The learning materials created are also very useful and detailed. Thank you!

Did private exam preparatory classes Ibu Lia for examinations at the primary and secondary levels. Ibu Lia is amazing! She was patient in teaching me how to express my complex thoughts on social issues into simple yet professional sentences. I wouldn’t have been this confident for my examinations if not for my classes with Ibu Lia.

Before the private exam prep classes, I’ve also taken other Bahasa Indonesia classes at Learn Indonesian Hub, and other language schools. LIH is really the best Indonesian language school in Singapore. All its teachers (not forgetting Pak Iwan & Ibu Eli) were very generous with their time and open to me asking questions outside of class hours via email and WhatsApp. My journey in learning Bahasa Indonesia would have been a lot more challenging if not for LIH.

I took the Bahasa Indonesia A1 class under Pak Tris and really enjoyed the conversational and interactive nature of the class and Pak Tris' friendly and jovial nature. He taught not only textbook vocabulary, but also colloquial usage of the language, which adds significant value above and beyond self-studying and online resources. Highly recommend!

I had Pak Tris as a trainer/teacher for my basic A indonesian class,he is a very friendly person,he is willing to be patient to explain and ensure we are pronoucing right and correctly structuring our sentences,and he also teaches us words that might help us that are outside of our course, I like the way he graduately build up our foundation with frequent practising of conversations aligned to the coursework and day to day interactions, it has helped improved my communications and building better bonds with my indonesian colleagues and friends, which in turn translate to helping me better at my work as well.

I was taught by Mr Tris for my beginner Bahasa Indonesia class . The class has been well guided . Mr Tris is patient and thorough and that has really assisted me to pick up Bahasa Indonesia without much stress . Mr Tris also went extra miles by providing the class some other knowledge on the Indonesian culture and how to apply the right words for occasions. I am pleased to have know Mr Tris .

I started with close to zero Indonesian language skills except for some common words. After joining the express class online, with a schedule of 2 lessons per week, I am now able to read and write simple Indonesian, and possibly able to at least communicate simply. Bu Ely was patient and helpful. The textbook was also easy to follow. Highly recommended but at 2 times a week means you need to put in more effort and revision time to be able to follow well. For sure you will be able to travel to indonesia and communicate what you want across to the other person with this crash course if you put in the effort.

I strongly & highly recommend Pak Leo for anyone learning Bahasa Indonesia and here's why. I took up the Bahasa Indonesia Basic A course with him, and trust me when I say I always look forward to the classes with him. It keeps my mind off my full-time work, I am also very fortunate to be in a class with friendly & witty students too. Pak Leo always keeps his students engaged & encourages us to step out of our comfort zones during conversation practice. He has also been very patient in teaching us & answering every question/doubt we have. Not to mention, his use of Kahoot quizzes certainly makes it a lot more enjoyable that helps to reinforce our memory. If I have to mention one activity that I enjoyed the most throughout all lessons, it would be conversational practice with Pak Leo. As it triggers our thought process & memory, I'm also happy seeing everyone able to speak bahasa better gradually. I'm sure Pak Leo feels the same as our teacher as well. Guru Hebat!
