Advanced Bahasa Indonesia course in Singapore
You've finished the intermediate levels, or you already speak Indonesian with confidence. Advanced A and B build fluency through longer reading, writing and discussion on everyday and cultural topics. Each level is 12 lessons of 1.5 hours, with 3 to 8 learners and a native Indonesian teacher, at Tanjong Pagar or online.

How the advanced classes work

12 lessons of 1.5 hours
Each level, Advanced A and Advanced B, is 12 lessons of 1.5 hours.
3 to 8 learners
Small enough that you speak in every lesson, not just listen.
At Tanjong Pagar or online
Join in person at Tanjong Pagar or from home on Zoom. The lessons and the textbook are the same either way.
Textbook ordered for you
Advanced uses a published textbook with a grammar booklet. It isn't included in the fee, and we can order it for you at cost.
One teacher for the whole level
The teacher who starts your level usually finishes it. A replacement steps in only if they're travelling, unwell or there's an emergency.
Review classes, free
Finish a level and you can rejoin later classes of that level free, as often as you like, when there's space in the class. Paying learners are placed first.

What the advanced course costs
You pay one level at a time. Start with Advanced A, and decide on Advanced B when you finish. The textbook is extra, and we can order it for you at cost.
Classes take 8 learners at most, so review seats open once paying learners are placed.

Advanced course questions
Do I need to finish Intermediate B before Advanced A?
Advanced A follows on from Intermediate B at Learn Indonesian Hub. If you learned Indonesian somewhere else, ask us on WhatsApp for a short level assessment and we'll tell you which level to join.
Is the textbook included in the course fee?
No. Advanced A and B use a published textbook with a grammar booklet, which isn't included in the course fee. Learn Indonesian Hub can order it for you and charge you the cost.
How long do the advanced levels take?
Each level is 12 lessons of 1.5 hours, one lesson a week, so a level takes about three months and both levels about six months.
What will I practise at advanced level?
Longer reading, writing and discussion on everyday and cultural topics, so you can follow conversations in more depth and give your views clearly in Indonesian.
Can I repeat a level for free?
Yes. Once you finish a level, you can rejoin later classes of that level free, as often as you like, when there's space in the class.
Can I use SkillsFuture Credit for this course?

What happens in the free preview class?
The free preview is a 1-hour session on Zoom with a Learn Indonesian Hub teacher. It's a special session for new enquiries, not a seat in a running class. You'll try some Indonesian and ask your questions about the course before you decide.
