I completed Basic B Conversational Bahasa Indonesia from Sep to Dec 2025 through 1-to-1 tuition with teacher, Lia. Lia is an expert educator, with the course being covered comprehensively, but each class being fun and flowing naturally. The classes were also flexible in time and day to work around business and family commitments.

I have done Basic A and Basic B with Lia and have learned so much under her guidance. During each class, Lia goes through a lot of content but still manages to make it enjoyable by incorporating various activities such as kahoot quizzes. Lia also listens to our preferences and requests, and actively use tools such as song listening and YouTube videos to expose us to Bahasa Indonesian through different mediums. The learning materials created are also very useful and detailed. Thank you!

Did private exam preparatory classes Ibu Lia for examinations at the primary and secondary levels. Ibu Lia is amazing! She was patient in teaching me how to express my complex thoughts on social issues into simple yet professional sentences. I wouldn’t have been this confident for my examinations if not for my classes with Ibu Lia. Before the private exam prep classes, I’ve also taken other Bahasa Indonesia classes at Learn Indonesian Hub, and other language schools. LIH is really the best Indonesian language school in Singapore. All its teachers (not forgetting Pak Iwan & Ibu Eli) were very generous with their time and open to me asking questions outside of class hours via email and WhatsApp. My journey in learning Bahasa Indonesia would have been a lot more challenging if not for LIH.
I took the Bahasa Indonesia A1 class under Pak Tris and really enjoyed the conversational and interactive nature of the class and Pak Tris' friendly and jovial nature. He taught not only textbook vocabulary, but also colloquial usage of the language, which adds significant value above and beyond self-studying and online resources. Highly recommend!

I had Pak Tris as a trainer/teacher for my basic A indonesian class,he is a very friendly person,he is willing to be patient to explain and ensure we are pronoucing right and correctly structuring our sentences,and he also teaches us words that might help us that are outside of our course, I like the way he graduately build up our foundation with frequent practising of conversations aligned to the coursework and day to day interactions, it has helped improved my communications and building better bonds with my indonesian colleagues and friends, which in turn translate to helping me better at my work as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed my Basic A classes taught by Pak Tris. His lessons are very informative and engaging, I especially appreciated his explanations on differences in words used in Bahasa Indonesia and Bahasa Melayu. It was also very fun learning alongside classmates who were curious and eager to learn more

I was taught by Mr Tris for my beginner Bahasa Indonesia class . The class has been well guided . Mr Tris is patient and thorough and that has really assisted me to pick up Bahasa Indonesia without much stress . Mr Tris also went extra miles by providing the class some other knowledge on the Indonesian culture and how to apply the right words for occasions. I am pleased to have know Mr Tris .
I started with close to zero Indonesian language skills except for some common words. After joining the express class online, with a schedule of 2 lessons per week, I am now able to read and write simple Indonesian, and possibly able to at least communicate simply. Bu Ely was patient and helpful. The textbook was also easy to follow. Highly recommended but at 2 times a week means you need to put in more effort and revision time to be able to follow well. For sure you will be able to travel to indonesia and communicate what you want across to the other person with this crash course if you put in the effort.
I just completed the accelerated Basic A course with Bu Ely. The pace was fast, but the materials provided were really helpful for my learning. It was a pleasure to study alongside such patient and lovely classmates. I’m truly grateful to Bu Ely for being so kind, understanding, and professional. I really enjoyed the classes - fun, interesting and engaging! The administrative personnel is very responsive as well! Highly recommend! 👍
I strongly & highly recommend Pak Leo for anyone learning Bahasa Indonesia and here's why. I took up the Bahasa Indonesia Basic A course with him, and trust me when I say I always look forward to the classes with him. It keeps my mind off my full-time work, I am also very fortunate to be in a class with friendly & witty students too. Pak Leo always keeps his students engaged & encourages us to step out of our comfort zones during conversation practice. He has also been very patient in teaching us & answering every question/doubt we have. Not to mention, his use of Kahoot quizzes certainly makes it a lot more enjoyable that helps to reinforce our memory. If I have to mention one activity that I enjoyed the most throughout all lessons, it would be conversational practice with Pak Leo. As it triggers our thought process & memory, I'm also happy seeing everyone able to speak bahasa better gradually. I'm sure Pak Leo feels the same as our teacher as well. Guru Hebat! Pak Tris makes the lesson fun and easy to understand
I participated in their conversational bahasa basic A course and found it really useful to start conversations with people from Indonesia. It's really basic but a good foundation to build on. I especially look forward to classes (even on a Saturday) because of the teachers who were great to explain and teach grammar and vocab. We had two teachers (Chris and Leo) both were great and friendly, good to explain technicalities of the language. Leo had a super segment which I really enjoyed and learnt a lot, he encourages students to have conversations with him in Bahasa (questioning him, listening and answering). This was useful in practicing the language. I would definitely signing for the B course sometime next year!
Completed the Basic A course with Leo! He's a great teacher who makes the lesson fun, and the course does help you with super basic conversational stuff (results may vary) as I was able to make some basic orders when I went to Jakarta recently! :-)

Course structure and duration is just nice to learn a new language. Lucky to have Pak Leo as our teacher. He is very patient and engaging and never fails to make learning bahasa indonesia fun. After attending his class i can converse in indonesian and always find opportunity to speak the language. Now I eat more often at indonesian restaurants so I can show off my language skills when ordering food.
The course material is nicely structured, easy to learn and Leo's a great teacher. I find learning Bahasa Indonesia much more useful than the other courses that I've been to. I would encourage everyone to take up this course.

I took a 1-to-1 crash course for Basic A via Learn Indonesian Hub from May to July, and I have to say this was a great place to learn the language and culture of Indonesia! Not only was the administrative support great via their Training & Centre Manager Bernice (whereby she helped schedule and re-schedule my many requests for appointment slots), but the teachers were really patient with me too. Firstly, I started off with Ibu Christine, whom was patient and encouraging in her methods to help me get started; midway I switched to Ibu Lia, whom was also excellent in teaching me the language. Ibu Lia also prepared many additional songs and passages for me to learn more about the culture of the Indonesian people, going beyond the teachings from the textbooks. Learn Indonesian Hub offers a truly an immersive experience that supports its learners to really gain mastery of the language. Thanks once again!

Fantastic Basic A Bahasa zoom lesson every Tuesday with Bu. She makes it interesting and very patient in teaching, guiding, correcting us. She also provide a chance for every students to learn. Defiintely continuing my Basic B lession with her again.

Just finished an accelerated 6-week course with Mas Leo. He was a patient and calm teacher. Though it was a virtual class, he made it inclusive and engaging, making sure that everyone had a chance to learn to speak and tailored his teaching style and rhythm based on each individual’s learning pace. Learning online with the accelerated course has been a blast. Being accelerated, it has been rather intense but helpful to learn quicker and more intentionally. Being online also helped with convenience and it wasn't any lacking in quality. Ibu Ely has been patient and helpful in her teaching.

I really enjoy Bahasa Basic A (Accelerated) classes over Zoom. It's extremely efficient and enjoyable, and I find my ability to comprehend, speak and write in Bahasa Indonesia to have increased exponentially in just 3 weeks. Just completed Basic A class with Leo as the instructor. Have to say that the class was a lot more enjoyable than expected. The instructor was patient and adhered to everyone’s pace.
