Have just completed Basic A Indonesia Course with Iwan. Picking up a new language is never easy, however Iwan was attentive to identify the class' strengths on our known languages and built a strong context to enable the class to pick up indonesia quickly. In addition, he's an engaging teacher that adapt his teaching style to the situations to aid us in our course of learning of a new language. I used to live in Indonesia for 8 years and had a few basic courses in Yogyakarta and Bali . I have never encountered a teacher as clear , precise , detailed as Iwan . He is absolutely a master of the language . Very practical case studies , role plays , games , media materials . Completed the Intermediate courses and going to Advanced next. Recommended Indonesian school!

I strongly & highly recommend Pak Leo for anyone learning Bahasa Indonesia and here's why. I took up the Bahasa Indonesia Basic A course with him, and trust me when I say I always look forward to the classes with him. It keeps my mind off my full-time work, I am also very fortunate to be in a class with friendly & witty students too. Pak Leo always keeps his students engaged & encourages us to step out of our comfort zones during conversation practice. He has also been very patient in teaching us & answering every question/doubt we have. Not to mention, his use of Kahoot quizzes certainly makes it a lot more enjoyable that helps to reinforce our memory. If I have to mention one activity that I enjoyed the most throughout all lessons, it would be conversational practice with Pak Leo. As it triggers our thought process & memory, I'm also happy seeing everyone able to speak bahasa better gradually. I'm sure Pak Leo feels the same as our teacher as well. Guru Hebat! Pak Leo is a great teacher for anyone looking to learn bahasa Indonesia. I was in his Basic A class. I am new to Bahasa Indonesia but I never had to be afraid to make mistakes as I learn, as Pak Leo creates a safe learning environment. He is patient and answers our questions proficiently to ensure we learn effectively.

Teaching is methodical and systematic. Teacher Leonardo is encouraging (high EQ - encourages / corrects our mistakes gently without criticism) and uses kahoot and oral practice lessons to reinforce our learnings and for us to practice sentence construction.

I completed Basic B Conversational Bahasa Indonesia from Sep to Dec 2025 through 1-to-1 tuition with teacher, Lia. Lia is an expert educator, with the course being covered comprehensively, but each class being fun and flowing naturally. The classes were also flexible in time and day to work around business and family commitments.

I have done Basic A and Basic B with Lia and have learned so much under her guidance. During each class, Lia goes through a lot of content but still manages to make it enjoyable by incorporating various activities such as kahoot quizzes. Lia also listens to our preferences and requests, and actively use tools such as song listening and YouTube videos to expose us to Bahasa Indonesian through different mediums. The learning materials created are also very useful and detailed. Thank you!

Did private exam preparatory classes Ibu Lia for examinations at the primary and secondary levels. Ibu Lia is amazing! She was patient in teaching me how to express my complex thoughts on social issues into simple yet professional sentences. I wouldn’t have been this confident for my examinations if not for my classes with Ibu Lia. Before the private exam prep classes, I’ve also taken other Bahasa Indonesia classes at Learn Indonesian Hub, and other language schools. LIH is really the best Indonesian language school in Singapore. All its teachers (not forgetting Pak Iwan & Ibu Eli) were very generous with their time and open to me asking questions outside of class hours via email and WhatsApp. My journey in learning Bahasa Indonesia would have been a lot more challenging if not for LIH.

I started with close to zero Indonesian language skills except for some common words. After joining the express class online, with a schedule of 2 lessons per week, I am now able to read and write simple Indonesian, and possibly able to at least communicate simply. Bu Ely was patient and helpful. The textbook was also easy to follow. Highly recommended but at 2 times a week means you need to put in more effort and revision time to be able to follow well. For sure you will be able to travel to indonesia and communicate what you want across to the other person with this crash course if you put in the effort.

I just completed the accelerated Basic A course with Bu Ely. The pace was fast, but the materials provided were really helpful for my learning. It was a pleasure to study alongside such patient and lovely classmates. I’m truly grateful to Bu Ely for being so kind, understanding, and professional. I really enjoyed the classes - fun, interesting and engaging! The administrative personnel is very responsive as well! Highly recommend! 👍

I really enjoy Bahasa Basic A (Accelerated) classes over Zoom. It's extremely efficient and enjoyable, and I find my ability to comprehend, speak and write in Bahasa Indonesia to have increased exponentially in just 3 weeks. Ibu Ely is patient and very nice, and takes time to answer questions and give us more context about Indonesian culture and how people actually speak/use the language. Looking forward to continuing my Bahasa Indonesia journey with Learn Indonesian Hub after the conclusion of my Basic A classes!
