Since April this year, I have completed the Bahasa Indonesia Basic A and B courses and am now near completion of Bahasa Indonesia Intermediate A. Classes have remained consistently engaging and interactive, giving students ample time to practice concepts learnt. Learning a new language when you’re an adult can be tough, but with Learn Indonesian Hub, it can be a lot more enjoyable and fulfilling. Pak Iwan dan Sekolah baik lah!

Pak Tris makes the classes really very fun even though we are learning through zoom right now. I really like how at the start of the class, he would review and quiz us on the previous lessons, makes me remember the things taught better
I had a fruitful and enjoyable experience learning basic Indonesian with Iwan and Ely. Besides teaching from the books, they would incorporate fun activities and share interesting stories/facts that give us insights to the Indonesian culture. It was a nurturing environment where I was never afraid of making mistakes and asking questions!

Pak Iwan was a great teacher, never thought I could pick up a new language so quickly. I especially liked the little tidbits on Indonesian life and culture based on Iwan's personal experiences. It helped me put context to the language that I was learning to speak. Attended the accelerated Basic A course. Coming from someone with close to zero prior knowledge in Indonesian or Malay, I can now hold a basic conversation easily. Lessons were also fun and my trainer Pak Iwan was very engaging, so I will be signing up for Basic B after this. Would recommend to anyone thinking of learning Indonesian!

Teaching is methodical and systematic. Teacher Leonardo is encouraging (high EQ - encourages / corrects our mistakes gently without criticism) and uses kahoot and oral practice lessons to reinforce our learnings and for us to practice sentence construction.
I have been learning Indonesian from Learn Indonesian Hub for almost a year. During COVID-19 I picked up the challenge of learning new language. I registered for Basic A and B Bahasa Indonesia with Leo and Tris who were both great. The sessions were fun and challenging both in person and on Zoom. I am improving and can hold a basic conversation and now looking forward to Intermediate A. I recommend Learn Indonesian Hub.

After living in Singapore for nearly 20 years, one day I suddenly realized I should make friends with some Indonesian and Malay people (a bit late, but not too late), so I started to learn Indonesian here in late 2020, following Teacher Iwan and together with a few smart diligent classmates. I am a quiet person who may not be good at speaking any language, but I found the learning program is joyous and encouraging, not stressful and intimidating at all. The games, songs, cartoon videos, shopping websites (to read the price tags only), interactions and so on, they make me enjoy the language learning, even though it's my first time to study a new language after collage. Also Mr. Iwan is always encouraging and willing to share and help, so we were not only learning language, but also culture, life experience and some social knowledge about Indonesia and Singapore as well... Many times I was surprised that Mr. Iwan could even use Mandarin or Hokkien to explain Indonesian words. Partly because of it, I was inspired and want to become such a multi-lingual person in the future. So I am still here to learn and hope I could overcome my laziness and break through the critical point of mastering Indonesian language in the new year (2022). Thank you LIH, and see you guys in physical classroom again.

Inmersive learning experience. All trainers are Indonesians and what we get to learn helps to allow me to have basic conversations and use accurate words without losing the meaning. Have completed Basic A at Learn Indonesian Hub and currently taking Basic B, taught by Pak Iwan. I highly recommend Learn Indonesian Hub's teaching method of allowing us to make what we learn come alive, through weekly conversations between classmates and the homework assignments which focus heavily on the conversational and application aspects of the language. Pak Iwan is also a highly effective trainer, where one can grasp concepts swiftly with his clear and on point explanations. I intend to continue all the way to Advanced B with Pak Iwan, as I believe I can master and be highly proficient in the Indonesian language with his excellent teaching.

I recently completed my Basic A and Basic B courses. High quality language course with good content and a very good teacher. Very suitable and well-suited for working professionals and adults in general. When I first started I only wanted to check the language out as I had some free time. I had an extremely productive 2 months with Pak Iwan learning basic Bahasa Indonesian. He is a master of the language and all of its intricacies. Because of this, he was able to understand my learning style and teach me in a way that allowed me to retain large quantities of information. I came from another language school before coming across Learn Indonesian Hub. 1. The proprietary learning material is one of the best I have seen. It helps you to build your foundation, to understand and apply easier. 2. The teaching method is different from other places I've been - especially on the conversational part. The trainer guides you in both formal and conversational aspects of the language. The tone, the choice of words, and the common manner locals use to string the sentences.
I have a very nice learning experience with the teacher and also classmates. I enjoyed the question and answer very much because veey practical and I can use them with my helper and relatives. Price is reasonable and book content is written well. Class size also just nice and big and comfortable.

Completed intensive one to one classes via Zoom with Learn Indonesia Hub (LIH) 1Q-2Q2020, from beginner proficiency to B1 proficiency. Three advantages 1. Proprietary materials provided by LIH are by far the most structured, comprehensive, and understandable. For beginner students, this makes a world of difference especially when you progress to the intermediate levels, as the grammar rules can get very confusing (me-i; me-kan etc). 2. Guru Iwan is engaging and professional. He was able to explain concepts in several ways, both in English and simple Mandarin. This speeds up the learning process. In addition to proprietary materials, Guru Iwan enriches lessons with off-the-shelf material (textbooks, videos, quizzes, new articles). I used to live in Indonesia for 8 years and had a few basic courses in Yogyakarta and Bali . I have never encountered a teacher as clear , precise , detailed as Iwan . He is absolutely a master of the language . Very practical case studies , role plays , games , media materials . Completed the Intermediate courses and going to Advanced next. Very structured approach to teaching Bahasa Indonesia. The course includes a good coursebook with roleplaying and homework, and weekly Kahoot quizzes to test our understanding. Iwan is an excellent instructor, and I would recommend him to anyone considering learning Bahasa Indonesia as a complete beginner!

I aimed to learn the fundanentals at a casual pace, and got more out of the basic course than I expected. The instructor was very serious about the subject matter, ensuring we get the fundamentals right, and pacing the lessons along at an optimum speed such that we learn more in less time.

Excellent Indonesian classes taught by Iwan. I went from zero to a conversational level in just a few weeks. The material and structure is well designed for busy professionals.
I really enjoy my Bahasa classes with Iwan. I am now starting Intermediate A and thus far I notice that each chapter builds on the previous one, such as the use of vocabulary, and this is good because repetition helps learners remember and learn faster. Iwan’s teaching also includes all skills of language learning – reading, writing, listening and speaking – and more. His careful explanations of the rules of grammar help me understand the applications and context. Very often, Iwan uses extra examples which he thinks up on the spot and this helps a great deal. What I like about the classes is that Iwan uses emphasis on particular words while reading out the sentences, and this really helps me understand how to use those words for specific contexts. Sometimes he has to exaggerate the emphases on the words and this makes us laugh, but this is an effective teaching tool – it reveals nuances in the way a word is used, and it also really helps me understand how syntax (sentence structure) can define and refine the speaker’s intentions. I certainly recommend wholeheartedly!
